pursuing my freedom
This is a great quote. “Plans are only good intentions unless they immediately degenerate into hard work.” says Peter F. Drucker. I ran across this quote in a book I have nearly finished reading called the “$100 Startup” by Chris Guillebeau. If you haven’t heard of this book, immediately check it out. This book has many practical applications for a budding entrepreneur. It is so easy to sit and dream, hope and even plan your entrepreneur next steps. Unfortunately, that isn’t enough to realize your goals. Add hard work, commitment and heroes to help you fight through the initial stages of frustration and confusion while pursuing your entrepreneurial dreams. I am motivated when I see the success of entrepreneurs like Cameka Smith, Brad Chmielewski, and friends and family. Personally, I am tired of the 9-5. It’s not all terrible. I’m simply tired of working on other people’s dreams. I want to work on mine. And that all my efforts (depending on the quantity of coffee for the day!) will reap personal rewards for me. Recently, a good friend (and my business consultant) encouraged me to enjoy the journey of my goal. He followed up saying that an entrepreneur must embrace the ups and downs of the growing process. So here I go. I look forward to documenting this new adventure.
